The Arabian Travel Market will bring together Tourism Ministers, private sector leaders and entrepreneurs to help shape the sector’s growth and direction across the region and beyond.
UN Tourism will co-host a pair of high-level panels, each addressing a key priority for the sector right now. On 14 September, Her Excellency, UN Tourism Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nuwais, will open a Ministerial Panel focused on building greater resilience into the sector.
The Secretary-General will then contribute to a high-level panel discussion on the topic, recognizing the current situation in the region and shared responsibility to guard against future shocks. The panel will be held in English and Arabic, with simultaneous interpretation available.
On 15 September,
UN Tourism will then co-host a panel discussion on connectivity, reflecting the Middle East’s growing importance to global travel, with its airlines now carrying 10% of all global passengers.
